RWLSEE Chair Edita Tahiri participated at the UN Women ECA consultations with UN Women Executive Director Sima Bahous, held on 22 November 2021, in a virtual format. Ms.Tahiri discussed on necessity of increased and joint efforts to advance gender equality, WPS and YPS agenda and, regional cooperation as effective interventions in peacebuilding. After the meeting Tahiri declared “I was Inspired by new UN Women Director Sima Bahous’ commitments to support regional cooperation, youth empowerment and equality of women in politics and governments as a way of building sustainable peace and development”. She expressed her thanks to the UN Women- ECA and its Director Alia El-Yassir for organizing such a valuable event.
