Events

The RWL SEE’s members from Kosovo and Serbia have had experience in adopting the multi-ethnic perspective on gender issues since 2007. They visited the towns of Priluzje and Ugljare to engage in dialogues with local women from Albanian and Serbian communities, Serbian enclaves around Prishtina, such as Gracanica and Obilic, to hold discussions with Serbian women with the aim to support the reintegration of the Kosovo Serbs and boost the involvement of women community leaders. Also, through the previous Project funded by the Embassy of Finland in Pristina in 2012 three confidence meeting dialogues between Albanian and Serbian women from Kosovo and women MPs from leading political parties were held. The three roundtable discussions held between June 2012 and March 2013 provided a forum for women’s voices from both countries and constituencies in Kosovo to express their opinions regarding the Normalization process, and determine potential areas for future collaboration.
