Majlinda Bregu was born on 19 May 1974. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in social sciences at the University of Tirana in 1996. She holds a Master’s Degree in social policy at the University of Tirana in 2003. She then received a PhD at Urbino University in ITALY with the thesis, entitled “Sociology of cultural phenomena’s and normative process”. 

She was Minister of European Integration, Member of Parliament and the Head of Albanian Parliamentary Delegation to European Parliament, Member of Health and Social Issues Parliamentary Commission and Head of sub commission on Minors and Gender Equality. She was also the coordinator of the Social Policies at the Political Orientation Committee of the Democratic Party in January 2004 and Member of the National Council of the Party in April 2004. From 2005 to 2007.

Currently she is the General Secretary of the Regional Cooperation Council. Due to this role her position is on hold within RWLSEE
