LJUBOMIRKA MIRA ASOVIĆ

She is graduated professor of Serbo-Croatian language and Yugoslav literacy. During her studies, she worked as journalist. She worked at the State Archive of Montenegro, Archive department in Niksic. From 1998, she was active in civil sector as peacemaker, lecturer, trainer, consultant and facilitator. She is founder and chairperson of Women Voters League in Montenegro. As a trainer, she provided training courses for more than 1,200 participants in over 60 workshops and seminars, such as: on civil society development, on women future politicians, on training of observers for civil monitoring, training of women leaders, training on development teams, on education and leadership in action, training on green agenda, etc. As an international consultant on civil participation and local government democratization, she participated in pilot projects Participation of Citizens in Local Budgeting Process and Enforcement of the Law on Immovable Property Taxation. She was member of public broadcaster Radio-television of Montenegro Committee during the first term of the Committee. She was nominated by Montenegrin NGOs dealing with human rights protection to be member of Council (from January 2003 / December 2007). Member of National Gender Equality Council (appointed following election process between members of women NGO sector – November 2005). She was Assistant Researcher in Montenegro Gender Barometer Project – researching social position and quality of men and women livelihood in Montenegro in 2007. She was Assistant and Researcher in Single Parents Project, a project with activities that had scientific features. She is member of RECOM (Regional Commission for Establishing Facts on War Crimes and other Grave Violations of Human Rights in former Yugoslavia). She is member of Advisory Board on Political Participation of Women within EU/IPA project on Gender Equality in Montenegro
